Hello everyone, it’s me, Lesley Oman,
I was so absolutely thrilled when Melissa contacted me and asked me to participate in a design collaboration for this new release! I cannot tell you how super exciting it is to watch your sketches go through an evolution from a doodle in a sketch book, to a stamp…and of course back onto paper when we get to play with them and make them into wonderful projects!
Due to the fact that I helped design these stamps, I am also holding a week of sneak peeks over on my blog Hungry Heffy Crafts – so for more glimpses into each of the new stamp sets, be sure to pop over there to see what I share all week! I have been having so much fun playing with these!
Let’s get started with the sneak peek for today!
This stamp set is called Welcome Baby, and has this super cute little bambino as the star of the show! As well as this baby, this set includes some greeting stamps, lots of baby accessories and some ‘peek-boo’ images- because lets face it, every baby loves to play peekaboo! If you want to get a better idea of what I mean – take a look at the sneak peek below and head over to my blog to see the full project!
But first, let me show you a project which I have made using the Welcome Baby stamp set!
For this card, I have combined both Welcome Baby and the Hooray stamp set to create a one layer card stamped panel, which I then layered onto pink and glitter card.
First of all I stamped the baby image onto Neenah cardstock, then cut out a matching mask from post-it paper. I also used the pigtail add on stamps to make this little bundle of joy into a beautiful bouncing baby girl!
Next I masked the baby with my post-it note mask, and used two stamps from the Hooray set to repeat stamp a background. Because the baby is covered, the text doesn’t stamp on this area, and when the mask is removed, it looks like the baby is sitting in front of a text background.
Once all the text was stamped, I grabbed my copic markers to colour in my little princess! I finished off the card with a few drops of glossy accents and some hearts die cut from glitter paper!
Thanks for taking a peep at today’s project, and if you want another sneaky peeky – why not come on over to my blog Hungry Heffy Crafts to see another project featuring the Welcome Baby stamp set today! I am actually sharing a project every day in my week long celebration! Here’s a little taste!
Don’t forget that we will have the full release being revealed in all it’s glory on Friday – and I will actually have a video for you guys! So make sure you subscribe to the YouTube channel of both Honey Bee Stamps and me, HungryHeffy to make sure you get to see the awesome new products!
