Hello friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I am sharing this fun and adorable full panel shaker card with you all! I used the new A2 Shaker Pockets and it made creating the shaker a breeze! No need for foam tapes or die cutting multiple frames to build that shaker wall and they come with adhesives already on them!
For the background, I chose a fun star pattern paper from the new Let’s Party paper pad. I love how this paper look like it’s foiled. I cut the panel to ever so slightly smaller than A2 size so it will fit nicely in the shaker pocket. The sentiments are from the new Belated Birthday stamp set and I white heat embossed the first one and stamped the second one with black ink. TIP: The white heat embossing was not standing out as much as I would like it to be, so I traced the one side with thin grey marker (almost like adding a shadow). I also felt like the panel needed some inking, so I inked the edges with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink.
Now all you need to do to make a shaker is fold the tabs (I went over with my teflon bone folder few times), remove the backing paper from the adhesives on THREE sides and adhere to the panel, fill the shaker with sequins and confetti, and then close the remaining side. Easy! There is a protective film on the surface so make sure to remove it before adhere the shaker to the card base. TIP: It’s a good idea to use some strong adhesives. I used Red Line Tape.
When I first saw the Belated Birthday set, I fell in love with the adorable snail. His face and all these accessary pieces are all so cute! I stamped the snail three times and made each of them carry different items. The party hat and the gift are from the same Belated Birthday set and the cup cake is from Vintage Gift Card Box Add On: Birthday Candle stamp set. I colored the images with Copic markers and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I adhered them on the shaker and added googly eyes and some glitter to finish the card off.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!!
