In Wisconsin, the tree leaves are beginning to change color. We live on a lake and it’s so beautiful to look across the water and see the landscape changing colors on a daily basis. It goes quickly! It’s Bobbi here with a card that offers several “signs” of a changing season. Fall is here!

I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products to create this 5″ X 7″ card:

Lovely Layers: Seasonal Signs – Honey Cuts

Seasonal Signs – Set of 3 Coordinating Stencils

Forest Floor Honey Cut Dies

Forest Floor – Set of 6 Background Stencil

Fall Is In The Air Paper Pad 6″ x 8.5″ – 24 Double Sided Sheets

For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

For this 5″ X 7″ card, I used a beautiful piece of pattern paper for the card front’s background. I love this treescape pattern! I attached it to the front of the card base, maintaining a white border above and below, and added some white stitching to the top and bottom border for interest.

Next, I die cut the wood sign from white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Seasonal Signs – Honey Cuts. I hand-drew my woodgrain on the sign using my favorite Copic Sketch Marker colors for woodgrain: E59, E57, E55, E43, and E50. If you don’t feel comfortable hand-drawing, you can just use the Seasonal Signs – Set of 3 Coordinating Stencils to create beautiful woodgrain. The stencil set includes the “hello fall‘ sentiment for the sign. I stenciled it in black on the sign using Distress Oxide Ink in Black Soot. I also die cut the black sign hanger, the leaves, and other interesting foliage. I attached the sign to the card front, along with the foliage using Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab.

I added additional accents to the card including the mushroom and the pumpkin at the bottom and the acorn at the top of the sign. These were created using the Forest Floor – Set of 6 Background Stencil Set and the Forest Floor Honey Cut Dies. I used Distress Oxide Inks and my blender brushes (large and small) to color them. I used my white Gelly Roll pen to add highlights to the acorn. I attached the die cut images to the front of the card. Lastly, I used Pearl Pen in Black to add nail heads to the sign’s hanger and in the sign’s corners.
