Good morning! Emily here with you for my first Honey Bee card for 2018! Soooo…. I have officially jumped on the alcohol ink train. You can spend quite an enjoyable hour or two just creating these beautiful, vibrant backgrounds. I particularly love the ones that look like marble! It’s definitely something that requires a bit of deep breathing if you’re a control freak like me haha. I created several pretty backgrounds and thought I’d let one of them shine with some of the beautiful sentiment sets from Honey Bee!

I created the background using alcohol inks in shades of pink, purple, and gold, then die cut the panel using the Double Stitched A2 Rectangle dies.

I die cut the top two dies from the Hugs die set, one from some deep purple card stock and once from some scrap watercolor paper. I pressed my Versamark pad on the word, then dipped it in gold embossing powder and melted it, then repeated the process a total of three times to create a pretty, almost molten look. I also die cut the three hearts from the Beautiful Life die set and repeated the technique. I added a sentiment from the Beautiful Life stamp set, as well.

After I had finished stamping, die cutting, and heat embossing my sentiment, I arranged the die cuts in a cascade and adhered them using both liquid and dimensional adhesive. I added a few Enchanted Plum sequins to complete the cascade.

The final step was to adhered the alcohol ink panel to an A2 gold foil panel.

Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you enjoyed this project…. the alcohol ink trend is quite addictive! It might make another appearance or two in my blog posts. 😉

Have a marvelous Friday, friends!

That is gorgeous. Would love a video to go along with the alcohol ink background creating as I think everyone has a different approach at creating with alcohol inks. Thanks for the details.
