Hello everyone!! Laurie here to share a cute and simple card. Lately I’ve been getting a bit bored with the traditional A2 sized card so for today’s post, I’ve made a square card which measures 4 inches by 4 inches.
I used the super adorable Special Delivery stamp set and Co-Ordinating Honey Cuts. I started by stamping my images onto some watercolour paper with a waterproof black ink. I did some simple watercolouring with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens then die cut them out.
For my card panel, I used a stitched square die that was slightly smaller than my cardbase. I also used the same watercolour paper for this. To create an interesting and pretty sky background, I used a cloud border die and a piece of printer paper to create a mask.
Starting on the mask, I blended the Broken China Distress Ink. Then by shifting the mask slightly both vertically and horizontally, continue blending until the panel is covered. This creates the look of a sky full of clouds!
I adhered the panel onto my ivory, square card base with foam tape. All my elements were also popped up!
For a touch of sparkle, I added some Glossy Accents to the heart on the banner and a few clear sequins.
Thanks for stopping by!! Have a wonderful week!!
