Happy Saturday, everyone! It’s Cassie here, and I have another card to share with you. Today’s card is a simple card that came together very easily. Let’s jump right in!
I started by stamping the snail, and the sentiment ‘sending’ from the Special Delivery set on some Neenah Solar White card stock. I created a mask with a scrap piece of paper and ink blended my Mowed Lawn Distress Ink for a ground, and Mermaid Lagoon for my sky. I spritzed some water over this to give it a little texture as well as some bleached spots. As you can see, I only did the space directly around the snail so as to highlight him a bit. He’s such a cute little guy that I wanted your eye to go to him!
Next I stamped the letters from the Color Me Alpha set to spell out ‘hugs’ on some kraft card stock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed white embossing powder over them. I cut the stripe down to fit the space between my snail and the ‘sending’ part of the sentiment. I colored the snail in with my Copics, and I felt like it was needed another little pop of color, so I stamped and die cut the little bird from the same set. I colored the little bird in with my Copics as well and popped both it and the hugs banner up with some foam tape. The finishing touch was to add some white gel pen accents to everything. The snail and bird both got some details with it as well as the ‘hugs’. I thought it added a little bit more interest to the letters. I’ve seen so many fun things done with these letters, so I can’t wait to fill them in with color in the future!
That’s it for my card today! I really hope you enjoyed it and got some inspiration for your own projects! Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!!
