Hello Bee friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here excited to share a new line of products from Honey Bee Stamps. The newest release called, Sealed With Love includes products to create real wax seals! Many years ago, I used to add seals to my envelopes, but they never looked as good as these do. These products really work the first time! I was so excited to try this out again.

I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products for my 5″ X 7″ card and coordinating envelopes:

Sealed With Love stamp set and coordinating die set

You Buzzword stamp set and coordinating die set

Hugs and Kisses 6″ X 6″ paper pad

Hugs and Kisses coordinating gem stickers

Sealed With Love Wax Kit Bundle (BEST BUNDLE DEAL!)

You can also purchase these bundled items individually, too:

Honeycomb Wax Melts – Hugs & Kisses (This is the one I’m using, but there are other colors available, too!)

Wax Melting Spoon

Wax stamper – Heart

Wax stamper – Rose

Happy Birthday to You Card

For this 5″ X 7″ birthday card, I started by cutting 1″ wide X 5″ long coordinating pattern papers from the Hugs and Kisses 6″ X 6″ paper pad. I attached the strips to an A7 card base made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock. I die cut the YOU letters from black (top layer) and white (shadow layer) cardstock and layered them together. I adhered them using Bee Creative Precision Glue. I also embossed the “Happy birthday to” phrase from the You Buzzword stamp set on a strip of black cardstock using Bee Creative Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink Pad and White Opaque Embossing Powder. I attached the strip from the left side extending over the letters, Y and O.

How to Make the Rosebud from Wax

I wanted to make the card a little more interesting so I added a wax seal to the YOU letters. To create the pink wax rosebud, I melted two pink wax melts from the Honeycomb Wax Melts – Hugs & Kisses in my Wax Melting Spoon over a tealight candle. You can also use your heat gun to melt the wax in the spoon, too. Once it was melted, I poured it all out on my slick, craft mat crafting surface and stamped it with my Wax stamper – Heart. I left the stamp in the wax for a minute to firm up and then removed it from the wax. I left the wax to fully dry / cool down. Once it was cool, I lifted it up off the surface using the flat side of my Bee Creative Die Release Tool and attached it to the card. I did not cut anything off of this rosebud. This is exactly how it set!

TIP: I used two melts so that I only got the rose petals only, with no outer waxy edges. Three wax melts will create the circular edge. (See example below)

I added some green leaves from the Lovely Layers: Roses die set to add to the back of the bud. Everything was glued in place, over the O letter with Bee Creative Precision Glue. I added some faux black stitching on some of the strips and finally attached a few gem stickers from the Hugs and Kisses coordinating gem stickers package.

How to Make the Envelope Seals

Traditionally, wax seals were used to seal envelopes before the days of self-adhesive and glue. I wanted to make my envelope a little more fun, plus I wanted to play a little more with my Sealed With Love Wax Kit Bundle. I stamped the “happiness enclosed” phrase from the Sealed With Love stamp set using Honey Bee’s Intense Black ink pad and then applied a wax seal directly on the flap seam. Tip: You could also form it on a mat and glue it on, too. For this aqua seal, I used 3 bits of aqua wax and it produced these lovely circular edges. I love how this one turned out. That’s what is fun about this process. Each seal is unique like a thumbprint!

I also wanted to try out the red and pink. I marbled the two together – one pink and two red – to make this two-tone heart seal. I formed this seal on my splat mat and then glued it onto this cute little envelope image made from the Sealed With Love stamp set and coordinating die set. I added the image/seal to the envelope that also included a strip of pattern paper on the flap’s edge. Who said envelopes can’t be cute?!
