Hi peeps. How’s thing going? Vera here today bringing you Thursday inspiration from Honey Bee.

As you may notice, mermaid is all over the place right now. And, it’s easy to understand why. They’re cute, adorable and fun to color. you can color them as wild or as subtle as you want. For my card today, I chose to play with the beautiful Under The Sea set and Ocean Borders set for my main image.

I start with the sunburst. I ran Sunburst A2 Cover Plate on a piece of scrap paper (hah… you might see a peek of Honey Bee DT calendar shown through the paper. I don’t like to just waste paper, if I could re-use it, I re-use it) and use it as a mask. Laid it on top of a card panel and using a sponge dauber I added some yellow ink to the panel.

Once the  sun done, I stamped the wave and die-cut it and use it to estimate where I can add some blue ink, which is slightly above the wave line.

Then I colored the wave and stamped and die cut the mermaid using Under The Sea dies. I adhere the wave using pop dots, this way, I can insert the mermaid behind it to create depth.

And, of course, I have to add some shimmer to the mermaid tail. Can’t resist it. 🙂 After that, all I did was simply adhere the panel to the card  base.

So, what do you think? Fun image to color, right? I just love it since I love coloring. Although, right now I am a bit worried as my right arm been hurting for a couple weeks and as I work on my next project, I found myself struggling a bit to color. I am hoping that it will go away with some tender care. But, for now, I am focusing on packing as I am getting ready to move to a new home. Exciting, but stressful at the same time. Wish me luck!

Well peeps, that’s all from now for me. Hope you enjoy today’s post and may your Thursday be an awesome one. Cheers…
