Hi friends! I hope everyone is ready for Christmas and excited about the beginning of a new year.  As you can tell with my card share today, I already have Valentine’s Day on the brain, lol! Hearts have always been a favorite design element to use on my cards so I thought I’d go all out and make the card itself heart shaped.

I used the largest hearts in the Stacking Hearts Honey Cuts and new Scallop Hearts Honey Cuts to create a card base and decorative card front. The Stacking Hearts layer perfectly onto the Scallop Hearts.  The perfect stamp set to pair with these hearts is the adorable Mae The Mouse set.  I stamped and colored the mouse image twice because Mae needed a friend… I’ve named him Max.

I wanted to have the mice holding a heart where I’ve stamped the first part of the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Brie Mine stamp set.  I used the  Brie Mine Honey Cuts to die cut the word valentine stamped on a contrasting color so it would stand out.

The Brie Mine stamp set is so versatile.  There are lots of sentiment building possibilities but I decided to keep it simple and add happy valentine’s day to the inside of the card.

Make sure you check out all the fun new stamps and dies in the Brie Mine release. And keep checking the blog after the holidays for continued inspiration from the Honey Bee design team using the new release .

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and very happy New Year!
