Hi Honey Bee fans, Kimberly here today to show you some cute thank you cards (plus a little gift) I made using the Thanks stamp set. The cards are super simple – I just trimmed a piece of patterned paper and adhered it the bottom of a piece of black cardstock. I stamped and heat embossed the thanks sentiment with white EP. To create the butterfly paperclips, I stamped the butterfly with Versamark and coated it with sticky embossing powder. I rubbed on a piece of rainbow foil and voila! The magic of foiling! Isn’t it gorgeous!
I fussy cut the butterflies and sandwiched the paperclip between two butterflies. I used Glossy Accents, and they seem to be holding together just fine! I wanted to color the paperclips, so I used my Copic markers to do so. I notice the color is coming off a little bit – maybe I should have sealed them. Something to try next time! To add the clips to my card front, I sliced a little opening in the black cardstock and inserted the clip. The whole panel was mounted to a white card base with foam adhesive.
I hope you like this little project today! I love that the recipient can use the clip long after they’re done admiring the card! These would look awesome in planners too!
Have a great weekend everyone….I’ll see you again soon!
