Hey there!! I hope you have recovered from the long holiday weekend!! This last week has been a whirlwind for me. Let’s just say that I needed to create a bright, happy card to lift my spirits. Nothing can do that better, in my opinion, than a rainbow and sunshine!!
This is a bridge card that Jennifer McGuire recently shared in one of her videos. (Seriously, what would we do without that girl?!?) She’s sooooooo amazing!!!
I started by stamping the rainbow from Rainbow Wishes onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. The sentiment, also from Rainbow Wishes, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Honey Cuts. The clouds were die-cut from white cardstock using the Partly Cloudy Honey Cuts. I die-cut “Friend” from black cardstock and vellum using the Friendship Dies. The final piece that I die-cut was the sun, which is also from the Rainbow Wishes Honey Cuts, and it was cut from yellow cardstock. I scored and folded the background panel using the instructions from Jennifer McGuire’s video, then ink-blended the clouds using the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencils and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I cut two narrow strips of blue cardstock and adhered them to the outside edges. Then all I had to do was assemble the card as shown. The rainbow, clouds and sentiment were adhered on the outside of the bridge. The clouds, sun and “friend” were adhered to the center of the bridge by scoring the clouds and adhering the tabs about halfway back on inner part of the bridge.
This is the first bridge card that I have ever made and I love how it turned out!! I can’t wait to make more!!
