Hello Crafters!

I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.

A week or so ago we released the most wonderful set called My Hero and I have been absolutely itching to use it. I couldn’t decide on one hero so I made a card for each of them!

I kept them all super quick and simple! While I made 5, one for each image included in the set, you could absolutely make 5 of the same card just as quickly. Honestly, probably faster lol.

I started each card by selecting two Distress Ink Colors to blend from the bottom up. You could certainly use more colors or different colors that would blend well together. Normally I would use at least a 3 color blend but I was trying to keep it quick.

I blended each of the distress inks into white to help keep the card light. Once the ink blending was done I spattered on some Perfect Pearls onto the background. I love the shine it gives. If you didn’t wantedthe extra shimmer you could use plain water or spatter some of the distress ink colors you already use for some tone on tone texture.

Once my backgrounds were dry I lined up my sentiments and images in my MISTI and began stamping. For an even quicker card you can leave your images as just an outline with a bold color ink but I love to color so I needed to see these sweet hero stamps in all their glory 🙂

While I did stamp my images on the background it isn’t really necessary as I stamped my images on another piece of cardstock to color. I really just used them as a place holder for stamping my sentiment.

After I had colored up the images I cut them out usingtheir matching dies.

The images were popped up on foam tape and adhered directly over their stamped counterparts on the base of the card. I finished the cards off by using a few different colors of our enamel dots to tie them all together. I also added a coat of clear glitter on all the images.

A quick note if you are creating cards for Military men and women actively serving please skip all the glitter elements. It’s dangerous for them as the glitter can stick to them and catch the light.

Which one is your favorite? Is there a specific someone you have in mind to create cards for?

Thanks so much for joining me today!
