Hi everyone! Leanne here today.  Father’s Day will be here before we know it and we must not forget about all those dog dads out there.  Our dog is always by my husband’s side so I wanted to make him a special dog themed Father’s Day card in addition to the one he will get from the kids.  This card features images from the Puppy Love stamp set along with a dog house die cut from some Great Outdoors pattern paper. But if you don’t need a Father’s day card, I think this design could easliy work for other occasions too.

I started with an A2 sized kraft card base.  I cut a strip of heart pattern paper from the Spring Fling paper pad and adhered towards the left edge of the card front.  Next I made a dog house using the Dog House Honey Cuts and pattern paper from the Great Outdoors paper pad. For the little patch of grass, I blended some Mowed Lawn Oxide ink onto a strip of white card stock and die cut the top with Grass Border Honey Cuts.

Next I stamped out and Copic colored images from the Puppy Love stamp set.  I then die cut with the coordinating Puppy Love Honey Cuts.  I adhered the images to the scene with  thin dimensional foam squares.   I stamped a sentiment from Furever Friends in dark brown ink.  I trimmed the first part into strips and adhered just above the dog house.  The second half of the sentiment I die cut with the coordinating Furever Friends Honey Cuts and then adhered onto the dog house.  Lastly I tied some white and tan baker’s twine around the left side of the card.
