Hello! Happy new week my friends!

It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today. Have you seen all the new release items in the Honey Bee Stamps shop? There are so many fun goodies to choose from! While I wait patiently for mine to arrive, I made these cute & yummy cards. These are very quick and easy to make so I made two of them!

Card Base
I started by die cutting two card bases using Donut Card die one from brown, another from light pink card stock. To make them look like somebody (maybe the puppies!) had a bite out of them, I die cut out the small portion using Scalloped Hearts die. Then I inked the brown one with Tea Dye & Walnut Stain Distress Ink, and the pink one with Tattered Rose & Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. TIP: Make the edges (both outside and inside) darker so they look more dimensional. To add more texture, I added splatters with the same inks and added some white ink splatters too.

Icing
The Donut Card die set includes a cute icing (with sprinkles!) die, but I decided to make my own icing by cutting out donut shapes using the two of the larger circle dies in this die set. I loosely cut the outer edge with scissors to make them look like they are soft icing and inked the edges with light gray ink. Now, you can embellish this piece however you want! Use glitter paste, embossing paste, or those Nuvo drops you have been collecting! I have these fake icings and fruit sauce in bottles in my stash (I got them from a craft store), so I used pink icing and strawberry sauce on the brown donut, and white icing and Honey Bee Stamps Candy Sprinkles for the pink donut. TIP: If you are using any wet medium such as glitter glue or paste, it is a good idea to use heavy weight card stock. I used 110lb card stock.

Inside of the card
I stamped two puppies from Puppy Love stamp set, colored them with my colored pencils and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I glued them on the center and stamped the small sentiments from Friends Furever set underneath. The main sentiments are from Thanks a Bunch stamp set and Happy Birthday stamp set and they were heat embossed. Then I decided to add these paw print pattern with Friends Furever stencils. The sentiments and puppy images were already there, but it wasn’t too tricky to go around them as I ink through stencils.

Envelop
I do not have any square envelops, so I made very simple square envelop from Kraft paper and die cut out the window using Postage Stamp Square die. I adhered a piece of acetate to complete the envelop. I will simply stick an address label when I mail them.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Wishing you a wonderful week!!
