Good morning! Emily here with you today to share some more green inspiration for our Green Week! This card was (probably obviously) inspired by the gold at the end of the rainbow… The combination of emerald green and sparkling gold is a classic, so I thought I’d make it into a card!
I started with an A2 panel of white card stock. I then used my foam blending tools to blend Evergreen Bough and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks in an ombre down the front of the card. (I love that Honey Bee carries such an extensive line of supplies in addition to gorgeous stamps and dies! One stop shopping!)
After my blending was completed, I used the Fall Showers falling hearts stencil to smooth some Golden Crystal Glimmer Paste… this stuff is so sparkly, it’s unreal. While that was drying, I die cut the “sending” from the adorable Sending Sunshine stamp and die set. I cut the background from dark gray card stock, with the detailed letters cut from some glittery gold card stock to tie into the gold glimmer paste. I also stamped the “hugs and kisses” from the brand new Cheerful Sentiments stamp set. I heat embossed it in gold on some more charcoal card stock.
Once my Glimmer Paste was dry, I used dimensional foam adhesive to add the greeting to the bottom of the card front. Simple techniques, but lots going on to make this green project really pop!
Now, Honey Bee is Painting Instagram Green this week, and you could win a $30 gift certificate to Honey Bee Stamps! Simply create a project using your Honey Bee stamps, post it on Instagram with the hashtag #BEEgreen, and you could be eligible to win the prize! Have fun, and good luck!
Have a marvelous weekend!
