Hello crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I am sharing this adorable love themed card to share with you all! As most of my recent cards, this one also is made mainly with die cuts. And yes, I turned the cute bear into a Panda!
For the background, I die cut a panel from kraft card stock using the new Lace Heart Layering Frames die set. It not only die cuts these decorative edge but also adds beautiful embossed details. To make these details stand out even more, I traced them with a white gel pen. When I adhere the panel to the white card base, the white shows through just a tiny bit and I love this added detail!
The bear I used is from Heart Hugs die set and I cut him from textured paper from my stash and colored him with my dark grey marker to make him into a panda bear. His nose was die cut from black velvet card stock and eyes are black pearl stickers. I also die cut the roses using the new Lovely Layers: Sweetheart Roses die set, a bow using Bunny Basket die set, and the three layering hearts using the Lace Heart Layering Frames die set. Before adhering these die cuts to the card panel, I added some details by simply tracing the embossed (de-bossed to be exact) lines with thin grey marker for the roses and white gel pen for the hearts. I just love how this easy step makes such a big difference!
For the sentiment, I white heat embossed the “hugs & kisses” from xoxo stamp set and added die cut XOXO on top. These are made using three layers of die cuts (I used Bee Bold Lowercase die set) and I covered them with a coat of Glossy Accents and sprinkled them with some clear glitter (I also did this to the roses). To add some fun detail to the envelop, I stamped the sentiments from the new Mail Box Memos stamp set. It reads “There is a surprising amount of love in this card and it’s all for you”. How sweet is that?
To finish off the design, I added some gem stickers to the letter O and a Be Mine Clay Heart. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!
