Happy Sunday! I’m back with another card featuring a unique pet – the hamster! These little guys are pretty cute and can be a great pet for those who love an active pet! This pair of fur balls have a pretty sweet suite to live in! From a clear tunnel to a rolling wheel, what more could a hamster want?!

I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products for this 5″ X 7″ card:

Lovely Layers: Hamsters Honey Cuts dies

Lovely Layers: Hamster House Honey Cuts dies

“You’ve Got a Friend” stamps and coordinating dies

Rustic Brick 3D Embossing Folder Brick

For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To create this 5″ X 7″ card, I used the handy layer guide from the Honey Bee website to create the Hamster House and hamsters. For the cage, I used a gray, aqua, orange and deep orange colored cardstock to create the elements. I used vellum for the “clear tube” tunnel. Using my small blender brush, I added a little Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink color to the vellum “clear tube” pieces to make them stand out. The hamsters were made from white and two colors of brown cardstock.

For the background, I embossed a 5″ X 7′ piece of charcoal gray cardstock using the Rustic Brick 3D Embossing Folder Brick and attached it to a white A7 card base. I added a strip of black cardstock to the bottom of the brick to create a horizontal base for the hamster cage to sit on. I added the assembled hamster cage and hamsters to the brick background.

Finally, I chose this fun sentiment from the “You’ve Got a Friend” stamps and stamped this cool sentiment. I used the coordinating dies to cut it out. I attached it to the black strip using glue.
