Hi everyone. Vera here today. Boy oh boy, it’s been so crazy hectic at my end. This week is the deadline for Caring Hearts Card Drive (which Honey Bee generously sponsor) and I am drown in cards at the moment. To be exact, as of last night I have 12,547 Christmas/holiday cards in my dining room. I am not sure how many packages will come in the mail today as it’s been kind of crazy. I am trying my best to keep everything organize on top of my full time job that also kind of nuts.
The fun thing about the card drive is the inspiration that I get from seeing the beautiful cards that people send in. Seriously, there’s so many awesome talented card makers out there. I am oooh-ing and ahh-ing over the cards and I wish I have the time to really just play and make fancy cards. But, alas for now, free time is kind of rare.
So, for today, I stick to something simple but lovely.
For this card, I started by watercolor a card panel using Rangers distress ink. Love the bright colors of these inks. Once I finish coloring the panel, let it dry.
Then I stamped and heat embossed the image from Adore Him set. With large sentiment like this, I figure it’s better to just let it take center stage. For a little dash of cute, I added a bird from Acorn Sister set. Then finish by adding some sequins from Ocean Shell sequin mix.
Well peeps, that’s all from me today. Hope you enjoy it. Want to see behind the scene of Caring Hearts? You can take a peek HERE. Thank you for stopping by here. Cheers…
