Good morning! Happy Friday! Anybody else get thrown off by long weekends? I feel like this week has taken forever, because I kept thinking that it was the wrong day. Anyway. I have a super cheery and summery card (because apparently we’re skipping spring and going straight to summer this year) using one of my absolute favorite sets from the big Anniversary release last month: My Tribe. It’s so boho-chic…. I just had to pair it with a boho-chic color combo. Pink+aqua+gold looks like a boho chic party that you see on Pinterest. Let’s get started with the details!
To start, I die cut and heat embossed the dreamcatcher border and sentiment from My Tribe onto some pretty pink card stock using gold glitter embossing powder. I was worried that the glittery powder wouldn’t pick up the fantastic detail on the dreamcatcher border, but it did just fine! So delicate and detailed… in love. I added a few little dots of white Wink of Stella here and there just to add some more details to the border die cut.
Can we just talk about that sentiment for a second? I’ve never really been a super popular girl, always had just one or two really good friends…. so my “tribe” felt really small. Until I got into this papercrafting community. Many of the women in this community are simply wonderful people and really make you feel like you’re one of them. I feel so grateful to finally have found my “tribe.” This sentiment is one of the biggest reasons I absolutely adore this stamp set. This stamp set debuted while I was at a retreat with many crafty friends, and working with this set while at that event made me realize all the more how grateful I am for the crafty ladies I can count as my friends.
Next, I used my blending tool and some aqua ink to blend a subtle ombre on my white card front, keeping the color concentrated at the top and fading gradually towards the bottom. I added the die cut and the sentiment at the bottom using dimensional foam adhesive, then added some of the beautiful Cupcake gems randomly to add even more sparkle.
Well, that’s all for me today! Thanks so much for visiting. Have a marvelous weekend!
