Hello, Bee friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a couple of cards to share for Day 2 of the Spring Bliss Release Sneak Peeks. Honey Bee Stamps does it again with so many fresh and happy products to celebrate the spring season and the Easter holiday. I’m using the following new products from Honey Bee Stamps that will be available to purchase on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 approximately 10:00 PM CST:

Spring Joy Bouquet stamp and coordinating die sets

Quartrefoil A2 Coverplate (top) die

Hoppy Easter stamp and coordinating die sets

Spring Blossoms Background stamp set

Basketweave Background Stencil

Playful Pastels Gem Stickers

Spring Tulips

My first 5″ X 7″ card begins with a watercolor background in blues and greens. I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints on Canson XL watercolor paper. Once it was dry, I layered the Quartrefoil A2 Coverplate top layer die cut from Neenah 80lb white cardstock over the watercolor, allowing the color to show through. The A2 size looks pretty on an A7 card, offering a generous border all the way around the design.

I stamped, colored and die cut the tulip bouquet using the Spring Joy Bouquet stamp and coordinating die sets. I colored the image using the following Copics: R14, R22, R20, R00, YG67, YG63, YG61, YG03, YG00, Y26, Y21, Y18, Y11, Y00, E55 and E57.

I stamped and die cut the phrase from the Spring Joy set and attached to the bottom. I also added Playful Pastels Gem Stickers in a mint green to the quatrefoil pattern for a little sparkle, too.

Happy Easter

My second card is also a 5″ X 7″ card (A7) and features the new Spring Blossoms Background stamp set. The stamp is 6″ square in size and my card is 5″ X 7″ so I trimmed off an inch on the side to fit the width. This is such a lovely floral background to color. You can make it any color you like. I used the same colors that I listed in the first card.

This card features a belly band that showcases the new Basketweave Background Stencil. I used Distressed Oxide inks in a Gathered Twigs and Scattered Straw blend to get a slightly earthy light yellow color for the pattern. I added a blue edge on the top and bottom edges of the band to accent the yellow.

I die cut the scripted word, “happy” using the Happy Honey Cuts die and coral and white cardstock. I cut several layers of the coral and glued the cut layers together using Honey Bee Stamps’ exclusive Bee Creative Precision Tip Glue. Using my Blender Brush, I added Distressed Oxide ink in Crackling Campfire to create an ombré effect on the letters. I attached the layered word die to the belly band using white 3D self-adhesive foam squares. Lastly, I heat embossed in white, the phrase “Happy Easter” from the Hoppy Easter stamp set on the 1″ scrap piece of the floral background, die cut it using the coordinating die set and attached it over the “happy” script.
