Hi everyone! Leanne here today with a thank you card that showcases the fabulous Nail Polish Bottle Honey Cuts and a glazed Distress Oxide inking technique.  The glazed inking technique is such a fun way to add color to white glossy card stock which is what I used for cutting out the pieces of the nail polish bottle.  I’ll walk you through the glazed inking process then I’ll go over how this card came together.

You will need some glossy card stock, Distress Oxide Ink, and some Distress Micro Glaze.  Apply a little of  your desired colors of Distress Oxide Ink to a craft mat and spritz with water.  Then smoosh the glossy card stock into the ink.  Dry and repeat as many times as you want.  More is better because you want lots of layers.  Dry the card stock throughly.  Then take a little of the Micro Glaze and rub over the entire surface of the card stock with an ink blending tool.  That’s it and the colored glossy card stock is ready to be die cut.

***the above photo is before applying the Distress Micro Glaze and below is after***

As you can see there’s a big difference in the before and after.  The glazed card stock is much more vibrant and glossy.  I used this technique to color all the pieces of the Nail Polish Bottle.  For the top of the bottle I used Black Soot.  For the main part of the bottle I used a combination of Seedless Preserves, Shaded Lilac, and Wilted Violet.  And for the bottom of the bottle I used Broken China.

Now for the card, I covered the front with some pattern paper.  I used one of the Stitched Scalloped Circle Honey Cuts to cut a circle from white card stock to layer over the pattern paper.  I added my assembled nail polish bottle with foam adhesive.  Added a bow which was die cut from some of the same pattern paper I used for the background. The stamped sentiment is from the Shine On stamp set and has been cut out using the coordinating Shine On Honey Cuts

I embellished the area around the bottle with tiny flower shapes.  This flower is a die that comes from the Stitched Scalloped Circles Honey Cuts.  I glued some Aurora Lights Confetti to the center of the flowers.  Lastly I added a few dots of Aquatic Mist Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Mani thanks for joining me today.  I will see you here next Thursday!
