Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today. My hubby and I have been married for almost nine years. We (lovingly0 tease each other quite a bit, playful bickering, you know? And when we get done teasing and being smart alecky to each other, “love you, mean it” has become our little catchphrase. When I saw that sentiment in Love You, I knew I had to use it on a card for him!
I started with an alcohol ink background that I created awhile ago. Alcohol inks are one of those mediums that you can just sit down for an hour and play and get a whole bunch of card fronts prepped and ready to go for a quick project! I die cut the layers from the Love You coordinating dies from vellum, (LOVE how Melissa includes the solid background layer with the pierced edges! Such a neat and unique little touch.) then aqua, and finally some iridescent white shimmer paper. I also heat embossed the “mean it” from the Love You stamp set using silver embossing powder onto a strip of coordinating pink card stock.
I trimmed my alcohol ink panel down a bit and mounted it on another piece of aqua card stock. I added the greeting using dimensional foam adhesive, then added a few Rainbow rhinestones. A pink twine bow added a bit of texture for the final touch.
Well, that’s all for me today! Thanks for stopping by. Have a marvelous weekend!
