Hello Bee friends. Have you seen the new “Perfect Match” release by Honey Bee Stamps? It is filled with lots of unique ways to celebrate hearts and love for Valentine’s Day and all year through. Within this release, there is this sweet floral set called, Nancy’s Lilac Bouquet. It’s so pretty! I made this 5″ X 7″ card using the set. I’m using the following products:

Nancy’s Lilac Bouquet stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

Bold Background: Vines Of Love – Honey Cuts dies

For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

For my 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped the floral images (spray and the individual flowers) and the wood crate from the Nancy’s Lilac Bouquet stamp set. I colored the florals and leaves in the following Copic colors:

I die cut all of the elements. I also die cut the leafy vines from a spring green cardstock using the the Bold Background: Vines Of Love – Honey Cuts dies. I added some deeper greens to the leaves to match the colored leaves in the lilac bouquet. I assembled the crate and flowers to make a beautiful bouquet. I added in some of the die cut vines to make the bouquet a little looser and dimensional, too. I love how it turned out.

For the background, I splattered some black watercolor ink on a white card front. I added a strip of gingham to the bottom. This particular color is from a gingham pad that is no longer available, but very similar to the patterns in the Gingham – Happy Hearts Paper Pad 6×8.5 – 24 Double Sided Sheets available online. I used a small 1/8″ strip of white cardstock to cover the edge of the gingham.

I attached the bouquet so that it “rests” on the white edge. I added a die cut sentiment, “The world needs more people like you” from the Nancy’s Lilac Bouquet stamp set to finish the card.
