Hello, crafty friends and happy Tuesday!! I hope your week is going well!! Brenda here with a card combining a few goodies from the Pet-tastic Release with a few older products!! I used the Lovely Layers: Small Dogs Dies and the Lovely Layers: Large Dogs Die Set to create this sweet card depicting my two furbabies…Abby (goldendoodle) & Sidney (golden retriever)!! I love how these sets can be customized for different breeds of pups!!

I started by die-cutting all the parts for the furry friends from white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Small Dogs Dies and the Lovely Layers: Large Dogs Die Set. I also die-cut some accessories from white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Dog Beds Honey Cuts and created a dog house using dies from the Bird House A2 Card Base Die Set. I added color and shading to the die-cuts with Copic markers, then adhered all the pieces together using Bee Creative Glue.

For the background, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock using the largest die in the Scallop A2 Card Frames Die Set and blended it with a blender brush and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. It was splattered with diluted Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink and a paint brush. Next, the Grass Border Die was cut from white cardstock, then die-cut with the largest Scallop A2 Card Frames Die. Twisted Citron Distress Ink was blended onto the die-cut using a blender brush, then it was splattered with diluted Twisted Citron Distress Ink. The panels were adhered together using Bee Creative Glue, then adhered to a panel of red cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set. The dog house, pups and accessories with all adhered to the background using Bee Creative Glue.

The sentiment, from the You’ve Got A Friend Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. I used a black glaze pen to add shine to the dogs’ eyes and noses, then added highlights with a white gel pen. I added a single red heart from the Red Hots Acrylic Hearts Mix to the heart on the dog house to finish off the card.

I absolutely LOVE how this turned out!! It was so much fun to create pups that look just like mine on a card!! (It looks like I’ll be adding another one to the pack in a couple of weeks, too!!)

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!

Brenda
