Hello, Honey Bee friends!! I hope your week has started off well!! Brenda here with a patriotic card in honor of Independence Day next week!!

I started by die-cutting the amazing Lovely Layers: Eagle Die Set from yellow, black, white and two shades of brown cardstock. I added a bit of shading to the head and tail with Antique Linen Distress Ink and a Beeluxe Blending Brush, then adhered all the pieces together with Bee Creative Glue.

I combined lots of different elements to create my layered background. The largest die in the Lovely Layouts: Party Frame Die Set was cut from blue cardstock. I stamped the Land of the Free Cling Stamp onto a panel of white cardstock with red, light gray and blue inks, then die-cut it with the second largest die in the Lovely Layouts: Party Frame Die Set. Another piece of white cardstock was die-cut with the third largest die in the same die set and embossed with the Star Spangled 3D Embossing Folder. The striped paper is from the American Paper Pad. It was die-cut with the scalloped circle die in the same die set. All the layers were stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.

The sentiment, from the Because of the Brave Stamp Set, was stamped with Bee Creative Embossing Ink and embossed with white embossing powder. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die, along with three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock. They were adhered behind the red one and then adhered under the eagle. Holographic stars from the Freedom! Sequin Mix finish off the card.

I absolutely love all the layers on this card!! And that Lovely Layers: Eagle Die Set is a fantastic addition to the Lovely Layers Series!!

Thank you for stopping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!

Brenda
