Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today to share a card inspired by all of the beautiful kindness we’ve seen over the last few weeks with all of the tragedies due to the hurricanes. People have stepped up to help their fellow man in a truly inspirational way, and it led me to pull out the gorgeous Kindness stamps and matching die set.
I wanted to create a little swag with some of the beautiful florals from the Hello Gorgeous set… I just love the feel of the illustrations in that set. I die cut and stamped just two of the floral swags from the set, then watercolored them with my Zig markers and damp paintbrush. I also used an oval die to cut an oval from an A2 panel of white linen card stock, then cut one of the floral swags in half and made a nice full arrangement from just those two die cuts, hiding the cut portions behind the larger die cut with the wood slice. Sneaky sneaky! 😉 I adhered the oval floral panel to the card base with some dimensional adhesive.
For my greeting, I die cut the beautiful calligraphic “kind” from some navy blue card stock. I adhered the die cut with liquid adhesive, then added the rest of the sentiment using the stamps from the coordinating Kindness stamp set. I covered the die cut in some clear Wink of Stella shimmer pen to give a touch of sparkle.
The final step was to tuck a few Hollywood sequins here and there for added texture.
Well, that’s all for me! I hope you’ve enjoyed this project. Hello Gorgeous is one of those oldie-but-goodie sets that just never go out of style. Thanks so much for visiting, and have a marvelous weekend!
