Hi guys, today I am delighted to be sharing with you some Kind Zen Florals.
As you know by now, the whole team at Honey Bee Stamps is coming together to celebrate the much beloved 30 Day Coloring Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin and her blog The Daily Marker!
There seems to be such a warmth and kindness surrounding the Color Challenge and it is the inspiration behind the making of this card.
One of my favourite colouring mediums, and probably what I use the most is Copic markers. I did use Copics for today’s card but some of the ideas behind the colouring challenge, is for you to have a go at using many different colouring mediums throughout the month. You will see other mediums being used by my team colleagues each day so stay tuned.
As you will see in the pictures below, I started off by stamping out the large image from the Zen Floral stamp set by Honey Bee Stamps. I also added a smaller image to accent the large one. For the flowers, I alternated between reds and pinks using Copic markers #R20, R22, R35 & R37. For the leaves I used #G24, G40 & G94.
Using the sentiment Kind from the Kindness stamp set also by HBS, I added this at an angle for interest. In the set there are many words to go with the bold words, so you could take your pick of what you wanted to write.
To bring the card together, I cut some strips of co-ordinating cardstock and edged off the left side to continue with the bold theme colors. Then, to finish I added to foam to the back and matted it onto a black card base.
I love the boldness of this card and the way the colors pop.
Why dont you give the challenge a go, its not too late to start 🙂
