Good Morning my fellow Crafty Bees!  Today I’d like to share with you my little Snail Mail Card that you may have seen during Sneak Peek Week this past week on our Honey Bee Stamps Facebook Page!  I created this sweet little card using stamps from the NOW AVAILABLE “Special Delivery” set!   Also, check out it’s companion 2×2 stamp “Happy Mail!”

How cute is this little snail, really?!  He just makes me want to go, “squeeee!”  Haha.  I stamped him in archival ink so I could use a waterbrush and some CTMH dye based inks to color him in, and the background around him.  I doodled a little grass with fine line colored markers and stamped “snail mail” with some of the words from the set–and there are TONS of word combos with this set, you guys!

I matted my snail a few times…once on pink, and then on white so I could use my deco edge scissors to create a faux postage stamp edge.  (And this is why I never get rid of anything–those scissors were collecting dust, but I love the effect on this card with them!)  I used pale pink card stock and a dark pink ink to create my own stamped patterned background paper to go behind the snail stamp image.  There are several cute variations of envelope images in this stamp set so I simply placed 2 side by side on my clear block and stamped them staggered in rows down my paper.  Then I cut out my stamped paper to 2.75″ x 3.75″ so I could matte it once again on the dark pink 3×4 card after inking the edges.

I hope you guys are loving that all the NEW stamps are now available in the shop and I hope that you were able to enjoy the fun of Sneak Peek Week here at Honey Bee Stamps!  I am excited to show you more wonderful things you can do with these stamps in the coming weeks!  Stay tuned and start shopping because this is a good one!  🙂

Happy stamping!
