Hello friends! Leanne here with you and I’m getting my Halloween on today. I’ll be sharing an idea I had for turning the Mason Jar Card into a Jack-o-Lantern.
I’ve used lots of Honey Cuts dies to make this card including the card base itself which is created with the Mason Jar Card Honey Cuts. I used a circle die from the Double Stitched Circles Honey Cuts for the mouth. For the eyes, nose, and mouth cut outs I used the second smallest pennant from the Stacking Pennants Honey Cuts. I blended on some Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink to cover the entire card front. Then lightly inked the edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. I adhered the Jack-o-Lantern face onto the card and added a few highlight details with a white gel pen.
I cut out the jar topper from some plaid pattern paper and added it to the top of the card. I used one of the star dies from the Stacking Stars Honey Cuts to create a small tag out of Kraft card stock which I tied to the jar with green bakers twine. I used the Enjoy stamp set to add a sentiment on the star tag.
Lastly, I stamped Happy Halloween from the Hey, Pumpkin set on the inside of the card. I think this is a fun twist for decorating the Mason Jar card and it was so easy to do with the help of the Stacking Pennants and Stars Honey Cuts.
Until next time, have a wonderful week!
