Well, I hate to say it, but it is time to go… on to another new Honey Bee Stamps release! With the fall season right around the corner, I will be sharing fall-inspired projects later this week. So before I go, I have one last summer card to share featuring products from the Sunkissed Summer release.
This “time to go” card” features the following Honey Bee Stamps products:
Time to Go Postcard Honey Cut dies
Lovely Layers: Beach Houses Honey Cut dies
Netting A2 Cover Plate – Honey Cut dies
Lovely Layers: Small Seashells – Honey Cut dies
The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. I used Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue to assemble my die cut elements. My card measures 5″ X 7″ in size.
To make this card, I die cut all the elements for two coconut-filled palm trees and two sweet beach houses. I also die cut the seashell pieces and assembled all the elements. The beach houses were cut from various colors of cardstock and white cardstock. I used the following Copic Markers to color the trees and coconuts that were completely cut from white cardstock:
Trees: YG67, YG17, YG03, E57, E55, E49 and a white pen for light highlights
Shells: E50, E53, E41, E43, R00
I also die cut the frames and netting from red and khaki cardstock. The postcard backdrop was cut from white cardstock. I ink blended Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin Distressed Oxide Ink at the top.
I assembled the houses, trees and seashells and glued the two frames, postcard backdrop and elements in place on the front of an A7 white card base. I added some little details on the beach houses using an R46 red E43 tan, and BG markers for the fish, as well as a white gel pen for highlights.
I cut the netting die cut to fill opposite corners at the top and bottom. I nestled some seashells into the bottom corner netting. Finally, I attached the sentiment, “Time to go” (cut from aqua cardstock) in the upper, right corner. It’s time to go… It’s time to move to fall-inspired looks!
