It’s Party Time! Birthday Ice Cream Shaker Card
Good Morning! Today’s stamping project is using TWO of the awesome NEW sets from Honey Bee Scraps the “Brush Grunge Alpha” and “Beautiful Life”–showing just how fun and easy it is to mix and match sentiments from all the Honey Bee sets to suit any crafting purpose! I used the grunge alpha to spell “party” and for the brush stroke behind the words, and I used “It’s” and “time” from all the fun little words on the “Beautiful Life” set along with a confetti stamp.
This is a birthday card I made for my sister and she’s in love with all kinds of sweet treats and lots of BLING! So I tried my hand once again with my new Fuse tool and created a free form ice cream shape by tracing a metal ice cream cone cookie cutter from Michaels using the cutting tip (and leaving an opening at the top to drop in my confetti and sequins). I had to put in the sequins for the “cone” first, change out the cutting tip from my Fuse with pliers to the sealing tip and let that one heat up so I could seal the “cone” part of my shaker before adding the “ice cream” part. After I added the confetti and micro beads to make up my ice cream I had to change back to the cutting tip with pliers and let that heat up to seal off the shaker. I won’t lie…the whole process took a few tries. You have to make sure you have a good seal or your confetti goes flying when you try to shake it. Haha. I found it helps to use a glass cutting mat with a piece of paper on top of it when you are trying to cut a shape from your Fuse pocket plastic so there is a little give when it cuts.
I traced my ice cream cookie cutter again on yellow and pink paper and doodled a bit to attach the shaker on top to make it pop on the card next to the sentiment. The background was created with a birthday embossing folder and inked with a sponge tool in three colors. A few sequins attached with glue dots as accents compete the card.
I hope you enjoyed the project! Happy Saturday!
