Hi everyone!! Brenda, here with you today!! I have had this sweet Feeling Foxy stamp set for a while now & finally had the time to work with it. I hope everyone has someone who looks at them as admiringly as this adorable fox looks at her partner!!
Aren’t they the cutest??? To begin, I stamped both foxes from the Feeling Foxy set with Antique Linen Distress Ink, then colored them with Copic markers. I added in lots of details and texture with colored pencils. I used the coordinating Feeling Foxy Honey Cuts to die-cut the foxes. For the background, I blended several colors of Distress Oxide Ink onto the heart stencil from Fall Showers Stencil Set. I started with Fossilized Amber at the bottom and worked my way up, blending Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry. With the stencil still in place, I used a palette knife to spread Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer Paste over it. This resulted in a rainbow of glittery hearts…it’s so sparkly in person. The sentiment, from Foxy Sentiments, was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder onto a wide strip of black cardstock. The largest die in the A2 Double Stitch Frames set was used to cut a frame from black cardstock. I began putting the card together and I didn’t think the foxes stood out enough from the background. So, I used the Feeling Foxy Honey Cuts and cut “shadows” from black cardstock, adhering them offset behind the die-cuts. The sentiment strip and frame were adhered flat to the background panel, while the cute little foxes were popped up with dimensional adhesive. A tiny butterfly from the Feeling Foxy set was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in with Copic markers, before cutting with the Coordinating Honey Cuts. I also cut a black “shadow” for the butterfly. A tiny bit of white gel pen was added to the male fox’s eyes. Lastly, a couple of white hearts from the Be Mine Candy Hearts were added near the sentiment.
Thanks so much for hanging out with me today!!! I’ll see you next Thursday!!!
