Hello, Honey Bee friends!

Today’s project was a mission to pull out and use some of the beautiful patterned paper in my stash. These papers were found in a small paper pad picked up at Hobby Lobby. I love the bright summer colors and the great patterns!

I layered 2 of the coordinating patterns and hid the seam with some matching seam binding or crinkle ribbon. I chose card stock that matches the fun colors in the pattern. Using the Busy Bees Stamp Set, I stamped the flower blooms onto each color of card stock with Versamark Ink, added Ranger Platinum Embossing Powder, and then heat set the powder until smooth. I cut out each flower and leaf with the Busy Bees Coordinating Dies.

I created a “tag” using the Hex Shape Dies¬†and¬†punched a small hole in the top and added a small button with coordinating embroidery floss. The Hex tag was adhered to the patterned paper background using foam tape. Using foam tape raised the tag slightly so I could arrange and adhere the flowers and leaves. The beautiful scripty “hugs” greeting was cut using the Hugs Buzz Words Dies. I kept it simple by using only the word die….this die set comes with 2 background or shadow dies as well.

Thank you for joining me! I’d love to see your patterned paper creations! Pull some out of your stash and show us how you use it with your Honey Bee Stamps! Tag us @HoneyBeeStamps on Instagram!
