Hello friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio. It’s been a while I posted (or created) a card. We have moved to a new city this month and I’ve just unpacked my craft room! I was itching to use all the new release products so decided to use whole bunch of them on this scene card. Our home is not as nice as this one and we live in a city but we do have many cherry blossom trees near by!

Since this is almost all die cut card (except the stamped sentiment), it was pretty simple to create. You just need to die cut, color them (or die cut them from colored card stock for easier option), and glue them together. Here are the list of die sets I used:
Lovely Layers: Cherry Blossom
Spring Cottage Village (house and trees)
Lovely Layers: Spring Greenery
Lovely Layers: Nest (thin branches)
Farmer’s Market Card Add-On (bunny)

I die cut them from white card stock (except for the cherry blossom branches I used textured brown card stock) and inked them with various Distress Inks and added details with markers. TIP: Any marker (or colored pencils) would work, but I like using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. By using a really light pressure, you can use them to add very fine details.

For the background panel, I inked a piece of A2 sized watercolor paper with Distress Oxide Ink in Salvaged Patina and added splatter with the same ink. I also added pink and white splatter to mimic the cherry blossom petals in the air. I die cut two hill borders using Horizon Slimline Borders die set (not new) and inked them and added splatter and grassy texture with a marker. On the front hill, I white heat embossed the sentiment ‘Home sweet home’ from No Place Like Home stamp set. This sentiment is pretty thin and delicate, so I added shadow with gray marker to make it more prominent.

After adding colors to all the elements, I adhered them on the panel (some with foam tapes). I hope you like this springy scene! Thank you for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!
