“Hi” with Gold Heat Embossing
Hello all!! Laurie here to share an easy card that packs a lot of punch! This is a super elegant card that looks like it took time to make but in reality, was super quick!
I started by picking an image from the beautiful Hello Gorgeous stamp set. I used my Mini Misti to help with the stamping. These are detailed images and I knew I was going to heat emboss so I wanted the best image possible. In this case, as well, it helped with placement. Once I had the image stamped once, all I had to do was turn the cardstock to get the exact mirror image.
Now, I have to admit that this stamping was a fluke! I didn’t test stamp first so I had no idea the tips of the branches were going to line up perfectly!! Before I did the watercolour shading, I stamped the “hi” in Versamark ink and also heat embossed it with the same Gold Embossing Powder.
For my colouring, I chose a light pink Tombow Dual Brush marker and outlined the entire image, then pulled the colour out with my water brush. My original plan was to leave it with only the pink, but decided to add a bit of colour to the centre of the flowers and the leaves.
I added a touch of Glossy Accents to the tiny berries and the centres of the flowers and added a few gold sequins to finish off the card.
This card took about 15 minutes to make and would be easy to mass produce.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! See you soon!!
