Hi there!

This bright card was so fun to put together! I love designs that you can use for any occasion. You could make a lot of these backgrounds and simply add different die cuts depending on the card type you needed. I always need a quick birthday card, so I think I’ll be making more of these and just keeping them on hand.

I’ve attached a video below. If you’d rather watch on our YouTube channel, please click HERE!

All of the supplies used in this video can be found in the list at the end of this post;)

How to: HBS Cover Plate Dies

I used Peacock Feathers, Fossilized Amber, and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks. Layering the Fossilized Amber over each of the other inks gives you the awesome and easy rainbow blend. Next, I simply layered my Hex Cover Plate die cuts on top of one another making the crossed design. I adhered all three layers with Nuvo Liquid Adhesive. The Hello was cut from black card stock and then covered with Nuvo Clear Mark Ink. I added  black embossing powder to the wet ink and then heat set the powder. This makes the Hello glossy and raised. You could also achieve this look by adding Glossy Accents or Nuvo Clear Gloss, but I did it this way so I didn’t have to wait for the product to dry.  Sweetheart is from the Remarkable You stamp set. This set is an awesome sentiment set and is available through Simon Says Stamp as part of their Stamptember release.

I cut white card stock with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and added the Zen Floral border off the bottom edge. I used the same 3 oxide inks to add the same rainbow of colors to the inside for a fun pop of color!

The front of the card was finished off by adding several Rainbow Rhinestone Gems. These gems have an iridescent look, but also pick up the color they are adhered to! I used a jewel picker and liquid adhesive to adhere them all around the die cut Hello.

Thank you for joining me today! See you next time;)
