Hello Honey Bee Friends! Leanne here with you today to share a fun and festive card showcasing several of the new stamps and dies from the Deerly Loved release. This card is a bit different than my usual style of critter scene cards but I still love the way it turned out!
I wanted to use several of the smaller images from the Snow Buddies stamp set. I’ve colored them all with Copic markers and used a white Gelly Roll pen to add some highlights and pattern detail. I used a black pen to lengthen the string on each ornament so I just fussy cut them out. I prepared a background panel slightly smaller than A2 size by sponging on a combination of Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink. I used a stamp from the Backgound Builder stamp set to create a candy cane stripe pattern and then used the 3rd largest die in the Deckle Edge A2 Honey Cuts to die cut.
On top of the candy cane strip, I layered on piece of white card stock that I die cut with 2nd smallest die in the A2 Double Stitched Frames. I used some red glitter card stock and the Fa La La Honey Cuts to create a large sentiment to put right in the center of the white stitched frame. I then heat embossed the stamped part of the sentiment, which is from the Fa La La stamp set, in white onto some black card stock. I used dies from the Banner Builder Honey Cuts to create skinny sentiment strips with decorative edges. I added the sentiment strips and all the images with Adhesive Foam Squares. Lastly I added some Glossy Accents over the ornaments to give them a little shine.
I hope I have given you some inspiration for a different way of combining Honey Bee’s fabulous sentiment stamps and dies with the oh so cute small images from Snow Buddies.
Thanks so much for joining me and I’ll see you next Thursday!
