Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing some last-minute holiday inspiration for you. With just a few days before Christmas, I am definitely feeling the time crunch to get it all done… hopefully my family and friends won’t mind too much when their Christmas cards arrive after Christmas!! Eek. Anyway, here’s a bright, cheerful, non-traditional holiday card for you today using some products from the big winter release from last month. I absolutely love that Honey Bee Stamps products are so versatile… you can create a cutesy critter card with lots of details or a bright, geometric project like the one I’ve created today. Let’s get started with the details!
I began by blending some bright coral and hot pink inks on a white card base using the Geometric Background Stencil. I only inked up a portion of my card base, just to create a ground for my sentiment cluster. Next, I die cut the “fa la la” from some gold glitter card stock and twice more from some white card stock, then adhered them together for a dimensional die cut and adhered those to a vellum outline die cut. I also stamped the coordinating greeting from Fa La La using black ink onto some strips of white card stock.
Next, I die cut some of the fabulous little light bulb dies from the Fa La La die set from both white and gold glitter card stock. I did some ink blending using the same hot pink and coral inks on the light bulbs so that everything would coordinate nicely. I adhered everything on the stenciled panel using dimensional foam adhesive, then added some “wires” using a black pen to connect the light bulbs.
Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
