Hello everyone! Leanne here and I’m sharing a fun outdoor scene card featuring Bill the Bear and his lady bear friend. I wanted this scene to have the couple standing by the fire holding hands and roasting marshmallows. All the stamped images I needed including the sentiment are from the Bill the Bear stamp set.
The bears, all their accessories, and the elements to build the scene were stamped in Versafine Onyx black ink and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. To enhance the look of the bears I drew in some eyelashes on the girl and smiles on both. I cut out all the images using the Bill the Bear Honey Cuts. I also cut three strips of grass in varying heights with the Grass Border Honey Cuts. I used some Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink to color the grass. I prepared an A7 sized background panel by stenciling on some clouds using a stencil from the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencils. I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink for the clouds.
Once I had all the pieces colored and cut out I started layering the scene. First I added the tallest grass border. Then the bears, tree stump, mushrooms, and fern sprigs. I added the second layer of grass, then the campfire, and the shortest grass border in the very front. I stamped the sentiment right above the bears directly onto the background. I added some bees and a butterfly fluttering around the bears. Lastly I hand drew some trails for the bees and butterfly.
I hope you like my cozy little outdoor scene. It really was easy to create with all the fun elements in this stamp set. Thanks for joining me today! I’ll see you next Thursday. 🙂
