Hello, Honey Bee friends!! Brenda here with a colorful birthday card to share with you today!! My husband’s birthday is on Thursday, so the Celebrate Release came at a perfect time for me!! I had so much fun combining goodies to create this bright, colorful birthday card for him!!
I started by die-cutting all of my elements. I die-cut the Lovely Layers: Party Hat Dies from light yellow, orange and light pink cardstock. I added shading to the hat with dye inks and Beeluxe Blending Brushes, then used the same colors with a heavier hand and the Party Hat Stencil to add the design to the hat. I also added shading to the centers of each of the accents, using the same inks and smaller Beeluxe Brushes. The Lovely Layers: Party Blower Dies were die-cut from green and blue cardstock. I added shading and details with the Party Blower Stencil. The Birthday Tag March Free Bee was cut from pink, yellow and green cardstock and shaded with the same inks and Beeluxe Brushes. All of the die-cuts were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.
For the background, the three largest dies in the Lovely Layouts: Party Frame Die Set were cut from blue cardstock and two of the pattern papers in the Let’s Party Paper Pad. They were all stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue. I also die-cut the largest die in the 3D Rosette Die Set from vellum to adhere behind my elements to mute the background a bit and adhered all of the die-cuts to the background.
The sentiment, from the You’re So Extra Stamp Set, was stamped onto black cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink and embossed with white embossing powder. It was die-cut with the Coordinating Die, along with three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock. They were layered and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue, then adhered across the center of the card. Blue gems from the Let’s Party Gem Sticker Pack add a bit of sparkle to the accents on the party hat and this card was finished.
I really love how all of these products work so well together and I LOVE how the color palette in the Let’s Party Paper Pad pulls it all together!! I hope my hubby love it too!!
