Graduation Card with Amy Rysavy
Hello everyone! Amy Rysavy here with Prairie Paper & Ink, and today I wanted to share a couple of grad cards I made using the Penny the Platypus stamp and die sets.
I had originally made and filmed the card on the right and that was the one I was working on when my laptop crashed (literally as I was recording the voiceover for the video). Needless to say it’s been a crazy few weeks, but I wanted to re-create the card as I had a lot of requests to share how I made it!
Instead of making another card exactly the same I tweaked the one on the left just a little and also used the new Congratulations sentiment Honey Cuts die for my sentiment.
I stamped the grad cap image from the Penny the Platypus stamp set multiple times onto black card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with silver embossing powder before die cutting them with the coordinating wafer die.
The background was created with Black Soot Distress oxide ink that I splattered with water before die cutting with the largest A2 Double Stitch Frames Honey Cuts dies.
For both cards I stamped sentiments from Honey Bee’s Congrats Grad sentiments set, and on the right hand card I stamped the grad caps with a light grey ink and on the left I adhered the remaining stamped and embossed caps.
You can watch how I made the card on the left in my video below:
Thank you all so much for joining me today! All the supplies I used are linked here at the end of the post!
