Happy new week crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today and I am sharing this summery fruit wreath card with you all! This is 5.5″ x 5.5″ square card with lots of yummy fruit die cuts. I didn’t do any coloring on this card so it was a quick card to make.

I started by stamping all the fruits, flowers, and leaves using Freshly Picked stamp set. This set includes both solid and outline/detail layers of the same images so you can stamp and color them with your choice of mediums if you prefer but I decided to use the solid stamps to color in the images. I inked these solid stamps using Distress Oxide Inks and foam blending tools. This way you can achieve a much softer look than inking directly with your ink pads. Also, this allows you to blend colors on a stamp to achieve gradation. To build up the color intensity, I used Misti so I can stamp over multiple times. Once the solid layer was done, I stamped the details with the same inks as the solid layer. TIP: I used the foam blending tool for this layer too but you can ink up the stamps with the ink pad if you want more contrast.

The coordinating Freshly Picked die set includes dies to cut out the each images with and without the white border. So you can choose to have white trim around your die cuts or not. I opted for the one without the white border which is slightly trickier to line up the die over the stamped images. Here is the trick: die cut a scrap paper with all the dies you are using and cut apart the negatives. Use this as a template to line up the die over the images. I simply taped the die over the template and run them through my die cutting machine.

The background panel is 5.25″ x 5.25″ piece of water color card stock. I added some pink and mint green ink splashes and drew a circle with a pencil so can arrange all the die cuts in circle. The sentiment is from Pearfect Sentiments and I stamped it in the middle with dark teal ink. I then adhered all the die cuts with foam tapes. I felt like the wreath needed just a splash of additional color, I die cut the “berries” from pale blue card stock using a tiny die included in the Country Christmas Wreath set and added to the wreath. I made a 5.5″ square card base from mint card stock and adhered the panel.

As a final touch, I added some twines, Glossy Accents, and clear dew drops. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!!
