It’s Bobbi Lemanski sharing a card that features two sweet love birds, a beautiful bird cage, and a few other new sets from the Honey Bee Stamps Vintage Love release. This 5″ X 7″ card features the following items:

I am also using the Lovely Layers: Autumn Bouquet Honey Cuts dies for the greenery on this card.
The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.
To create this card, I used the Eyelet Lace 3D Embossing Folder and Coordinating die set to create the teal, dotted texture background. I die cut two white and one black bird cage die cut and glued them together, allowing the black to act as a shadow. I added the door, delicate detailing and a couple of gold metallic pearl gem stickers to finish the cage.
For the birds, I die cut all of the pieces from white cardstock. I colored the love birds in greens and light pinkish reds using Copic Markers in the following colors:
- Greens: YG67, YG17, YG25, YG02 and YG00
- Reds: R05, R22 and R21
- Black: 100
- Browns: E43
- Yellows: Y21, YR24
I glued the bird layers together and shaded as needed to give more dimension to their feathers. The dies provide the texture so the results are awesome when colored.
I cut six stems of greenery using the Lovely Layers: Autumn Bouquet Honey Cuts dies and green cardstock. I assembled the birds/cage/greens scene, with the birds’ talons hanging over a couple of the greenery branches. I attached a sentiment in the lower right using the By Your Side stamp set and Honey Cuts dies. I attached the front panel to a white card base to complete the card.
