Hello Everyone! Leanne here and I have a gift bag card project to share today. I was in need of a special birthday gift card holder so I paired the Gift Bag Card and Flower Petal Card Honey Cuts to create a fun and springy gift bag with a pocket inside to the hold the gift card.
I started by die cutting the pieces for the Gift Bag Card from some polka dot pattern paper. Once assembled, I added grosgrain ribbon for handles. I then created a large flower to decorate the front of the bag. I used dies from the Flower Petal Card Honey Cuts to make the petals and center. I die cut the pieces from white card stock and used Distress Oxide Ink and a blending sponge to add color – Picked Raspberry for the petals and Wild Honey for the center. I added the die cut greeting, Thinking of You, plus three stamped and Copic colored Busy Bees to embellish the flower. I die cut the small tag which is included in the Gift Bag Card set. I stamped “to” & “from” and tied the tag to the handles with baker’s twine.
I die cut the insert for the Gift Bag Card from white card stock. I then lightly sponged on Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink to add color to the faux tissue paper part. I made the Gift Card Pocket out of the same polka dot pattern paper as the gift bag and adhered to the center of the insert. I added the die cut sentiment “happy bee day” with thin dimensional foam squares to the pocket. I then created a paper pieced bee to add using dies from the Build-a-Bee Honey Cuts.
Thanks for joining me today. Make sure to stop by here everyday next week for sneak peeks of the new April release… it’s a really good one jam packed with some super fun new stamps and dies 😉
