Hi crafty friends. I’ve been so busy building our new family home. The other day, I was outside and my neighbor told me he had just lost his sister. I could tell he was really struggling with her death. He’s the last standing sibling in his family. I needed a “thinking of you” card quickly so I made this one for him and his wife. I’m used the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Everything Beautiful stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

Textiles and Textures: Celebrate Paper Pad

Celebration Pearls – Pearl Stickers

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To create the background for this 5″ X 7″ card, I used two paper patterns from the Textiles and Textures: Celebrate Paper Pad. The two pink patterns are back-to-back in the pad. Using the paper scraps, I tore a couple of strips to accent the lacey pattern design using the other side of the paper. I also added a watercolor wash band featuring pinks and a little blue to soften the look.

Next, I stamped the floral design and die cut it using the coordinating Honey Cuts dies. I colored the florals using the following Copic Marker colors:

  • Red-Violets: RV99, RV69, RV17, RV63, RV10
  • Greens: G28, YG67, YG17, YG03
  • Yellows: YR24, Y19, Y16, Y08

I attached the floral design to the front of the card using foam tabs. I stamped the sentiment from the same set to the right of the flowers. Finally, I accented the flowers using Celebration Pearls in pink. This card was quick and easy to make and will be appropriate to give to my neighbor.
