Hi Bee friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a handmade, warm, farmhouse Christmas greeting. From pine-scented evergreens and a warm glowing fire to rustic wood floors and simple farmhouse textiles, this card oozes with warmth and happiness for the holidays! I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products from the latest Holiday Cheer release:

Farmhouse Bundle (Save with the bundle! Includes the Farmhouse Tree Builder and Fireplace Scene Builder die sets for less!)

Farmhouse Tree Builder stamp and die sets

Fireplace Scene Builder die set

Home stamp and die sets

Country Christmas Wreath die set (for the potted plant and evergreens, only)

Holiday Cheer 6″ X 6″ Paper Pad

Farmhouse Check Background stamp (from the Autumn Afternoon release)

Slimline Blanket Die (From the Autumn Afternoon release)

Salvaged Brick Stencil

Inside this 5″ X 7″ card, there is a pop-up fireplace feature in a room filled with farmhouse style and holiday decor. The walls are covered with beautiful and vibrant floral wallpaper, the floors in a rustic wood plank and there are holiday decorations everywhere!

Every farmhouse needs a wood sign so I made a large, rustic wood “HOME” hanging using the Home stamp and die sets. I die cut the Home script word out of white, dark green and tan. I created the look of wood on the large outline tan shadow die. I also framed the “for the holidays” in wood and placed it on the mantel. It matches the “Merry Christmas” sign on the front of the card, too.

Not only does the mantel hold the framed print, but also evergreens and a platter of ornaments waiting to be hung on the tree. Fresh holly garland and bows deck out the fireplace. Gifts are scattered on the hearth and farmhouse rug. A potted plant adorns the right side of the fireplace. I used greenery from the Country Christmas Wreath die set to create the plant and the wicker basket used on the card front and for this plant is from the Farmhouse Tree Builder stamp and die sets. To create the brick pattern on the fireplace, I used the Salvaged Brick Stencil.

To create the fireplace pop-up feature, I created a 1/2″ square box support by scoring a 2″ wide X 2-1/2″ long piece of cardstock at 1/2″ increments and adhered the ends together with HBS Precision Glue. I attached the box to the wall and floor with strong, double-sided, Scor-tape so that when the card is opened, the fireplace pops out and is dimensional. I also added a box support at the top of the fireplace to create the flat mantel top. This box is the full width of the mantel so that the mantel top is present from side-to-side.

I used the Farmhouse Check Background stamp to create the throw on the front and the rug in the inside. I added fringe details and tan stripes to the throw using gentle wisps/strokes with my Copics in warm grays and a red to match my stamped ink color. For the rug, I die cut the stamped check pattern using the Slimline Blanket Die. The two phrases – “Merry Christmas” on the outside and “From our family to yours” on the inside are preprinted from the Holiday Cheer 6″ X 6″ Paper Pad. Both the tree and hearth inside were backed with 3mm black craft foam to make them stand out a bit. To complete the card, I added Nuvo drops to the tree on the front for dimensional berries/ornaments in red and silver.
