Hi there, my name is Nicole and I’m a card making mom of two boys from Switzerland. I’m very honored to be a guest designer today for this wonderful company.

My card features the adorable “Mae the mouse“stamp set. I love the size of this cute mouse a lot. It’s such a wonderful focal point and doesn’t need much more to make a great card. It comes with a bunch of super fun accessories but I wanted to pair it with the beautiful “spring blossoms“stamp set.

I started by stamping the images with black pigment ink on watercolor paper and covered them with clear embossing powder. This makes the coloring process easier for me, because it creates a little border that prevents a bit from coloring outside the lines.

I colored my images with watercolor markers (Zigs) and a water brush pen. I think the neutral grey of the mouse goes very well with the happy pink color and the green.

After letting everything dry, I did some fussycutting. I did leave a white border around the mouse (but not on the flowers) to make the mouse pop more. I felt like otherwise, everything would blend together a bit too much.

I left the background almost completely white to make sure, the focal image is the star of the show. I used a tiny dot stamp from the “Piece of Cake” stamp set with a light gray ink and a small sentiment (from the same set) to finish up my card.

I hope you got inspired to mix and match your Honey Bee products to create new looks.

Thanks so much for having me, Honey Bee Stamps!

Have a colorful day, Nicole
