Good morning! Emily here with you today with a clean and simple project that (hopefully) makes you giggle. I have become obsessed with no-line coloring with my Prismacolor pencils, and I thought the cute coffee sets from our last release would be perfect candidates for some stationary object pencil coloring practice! I’m off to chaperone my very first field trip with my little ones (a pumpkin patch with my kiddos’ preschool class… on Friday the 13th… eek.), so I feel that this sentiment is particularly appropriate haha! Let’s get started.
I started by stamping the Starbucks cup from the Coffee Break stamp set onto some kraft card stock using white pigment ink, then die cutting it with the coordinating dies. I then used the “black magic” technique to color the image. I start by laying down a layer of white pencil on my stamped image, then coloring over the top of it with the colored pencil, finally using my Prismacolor blender pencil to blend everything smoothly.
I stamped the cheeky little sentiment from Perfect Blend using white embossing powder onto a kraft card base. (there are some mornings when this is absolutely true!) I used the coordinating dies to die cut the word “coffee” four times from white card stock, which I then glued together to create a dimensional die cut. I popped up the coffee cup die cut with some dimensional foam adhesive, then added a quick rectangle around the edge of the card front using my T-square ruler.
And that’s all for me today! I love how using the no-line coloring technique makes it look like you can draw lol! Have a fabulous, caffeinated weekend! 🙂
