Hello Crafty Bees!
Well it’s been a few days – I have been working like mad behind the scenes to get everything in order for the New Design Team! I am excited to announce that my incredibly talented design team has been chosen, they have accepted their calling, and they are ready to create! So, Here it goes!
So without further ado – I am so excited to introduce
you to the Honey Bee Scraps Design Team!
“My name is, Kendra, I live in Wisconsin with my high school sweetheart and our two fun energetic kids!! I’m a SAHM in winter and work landscaping in summer! I have a passion for flowers… as well as crafting! I started scrapping 15 years ago as both my husband and I raced at a local race track and I wanted to keep track of our wins and photos. From that it grew into a HUGE obsession! I started scrapping everything and then just over 8 years ago got into making all my own cards! Any spare time I get I love to be in my room creating either by myself or with my kids, who just love to help me (not sure that I am as productive then, but it’s a lot of fun.”
Kendra has an active crafting blog, which can be found at: luv2scrapnmakecards.blogspot.com
“I am a motivated person who simply loves to spend time in the studio creating. I love to find new and different uses for products and will often challenge myself to use a product in my studio that I have not used in a while. I like to think of my style as mainstream grunge- while I love the look of distressed and vintage projects- I tend toward using these in a brighter more colorful manner- and sometimes even clean and simple!
I live in Northbridge, MA with my partner Katie and our 3 dogs Nathan (mini dachshund) who is 5, Tanner (a dachshund/hound mix) who is 1 & 1/2 and Quincy (Golden Retriever) who is 12. We love to spend time outdoors-hiking, biking, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. And of course , we love to spend time in my studio, which I moved upstairs from our basement this fall and redesigned! It is such a great creative space.”
Pamela has an active crafting blog, which can be found at: journeyawakensthesoul.blogspot.com
“My name is Tabitha Nicosia and I live in upstate New York with my husband and our one year old daughter (AND our two cats and a dog). I am a certified secondary ELA/Literacy teacher but since teaching jobs in my area are scarce, I’ve settled on working part-time in retail as a shift supervisor. I also do portrait and wedding photography on the side, and appreciate that this has afforded me the opportunity to be home with my daughter while she is young.
I find fulfillment in all things creative and have done crafts of all kinds for as long as I can remember! I was a moderator of Yahoo group for altered art for 5 years, I’ve worked at Joann Fabrics and Michael’s for a stint teaching classes, and for several years I held private workshops and home parties. I have also created and led craft-based after-school and summer mini-courses for students at our local elementary school, and collaborated with art and English teachers to create interdisciplinary activities that promoted creativity and a love of art and reading in students in their classrooms.
I currently teach monthly mother-daughter craft nights in my home, participate regularly in several Facebook Project Life card swap groups, and am constantly taking on new paper crafting projects—whether décor for weddings and parties, props for my photo shoots, commissioned greeting card sets, or working on my own family’s scrapbooks. I love learning new techniques and sharing my passion for art with others. I am grateful for the friendships and connections that are born from a shared interest in creating pretty things to make others happy! I hope that I can help inspire you as well!”
“My name is Carrie Bryant I have been a traditional scrapbooker for around 20 years. I started pocket style scrap booking in 2014. I am blessed to be a stay at home wife and mother. I have been married 24 years and have two teenagers. I also have three dogs. I live in Southern California. I am a creative scrapper and avid stamper. I love layering and adding a bit of embellishment to all my layouts and cards. I am also blessed to have my own scrapbook studio. I love my space, it’s very roomy. This does not however keep me from creating a huge mess. LOL. Being creative is messy and I am very creative.”
“Hi, I’m Alicia, and I’m addicted to Project Life! I have been an off-and-on scrapbooker and paper crafter since I was a teenager. Since discovering Project Life, I’ve really started documenting our current lives, and I love doing it.
I am a stay-at-home Mom to my children and ‘step’-children, who are currently ages 7-13; three girls and the youngest is my ‘baby’ boy. I have a completely spoiled and adored Shiba Inu dog that I truly love taking pictures of, along with three cats, two ferrets, and a snake. We live just outside of Portland, Oregon and I really love the Pacific Northwest, even if I sometimes desperately miss my home in Nevada.
I love including stamping, washi tape and messy ink or paints in my artwork and my very favorite tools are my sewing machine and Silhouette Cameo. I’m so excited to be a part of the fabulous and inspiring Design Team for Honey Bee Scraps and I look forward to sharing my stamping ideas with you!”
“Although I hail from a small town outside of Seattle, WA, I have lived all around… the joys of being an Army Brat! I have been in Houston for nearly seventeen of my thirty-two years. I do love where I’m from and where I’ve been, but I don’t think I would trade Texas for anything, well except for maybe a boat load of craft supplies! I am an accountant by day and crafter by night; needless to say I am a nerd all day! I have been married for six years and have no children of my own, but I do borrow a niece or two from my Sisters when I need a fix of girly girl time! I have three mischievous cats and an even more mischievous spouse!”
I would also like to give a very warm welcome to my very talented Guest Designers! They will be periodically joining in on the Honey Bee creative fun… so keep an eye out for some awesome projects from Julie Brase, Laura Strickland, Jennifer Long and Felicia Humphries!
I have to say that I am SUPER Blessed to have each of these ladies on “My Team”. They have been beyond helpful in developing, designing, brainstorming, creating and sometimes just encouraging me! I <3 these crafty bees… And I cannot wait to see what they come up with!
Until next time,
