Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a fun filled holiday season.  I spent some time playing with a few of the new stamps and dies from the Brie Mine release.  I have a birthday card to share today that features a paper pieced cupcake I created using the Cupcake Builder Honey Cuts.

I started with an A2 white card base.  I blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink onto the card front.  I trimmed a piece of pink card stock a bit narrower than A2 size.  I used Moonstone Glimmer Paste and a stencil from the Polka Dot Background Stencil Set to add a glittery pattern to the pink panel. I used a Stitched Circle die cut to ground and highlight the cupcake.

For the sentiment, I die cut twice and layered the word “sweet” using the Sweet Honey Cuts with pink and dark brown card stock.  The stamped part of the sentiment “birthday wishes” is from the Cheerful Sentiments stamp set.  I created the decorative banner for my stamped sentiment with dies from the Banner Builder Honey Cuts.  Lastly I tied some baker’s twine around the left edge of the card. I strung on a tag I made with the Piece of Cake stamp set and coordinating Piece of Cake Honey Cuts.
